From swimming to seeing magic to counting birds, there's plenty to do with your crew!

This Monday marks Family Day here in BC, a chance to focus on quality time with your loved ones, and throughout the CRD there are plenty of fun activities for people of all ages.

Get creative at the art gallery, check out a museum to learn something new, or head to your local rec centre for a free swim or craft workshop.

Check out our list of activities happening throughout the city on Monday, Feb. 19:

Esquimalt Family Day

Take your kids to this day of swimming, kinder gym, and other fun-filled activities at Esquimalt Rec Centre. 9am-1pm, with collaborative tree decorating right at 9am.

Family Day at RBCM

For a day of learning and kid-friendly activities (from Helmcken House to the Mammal Learning Room and the tide pool), head to RBCM for Family Day. 10am-5pm.

Saanich Family Fun Day

Head to Cedar Hill Rec for live music, kids’ ceramics, storytelling and other crafty activities at this family-oriented event. 11am-3pm.

Family Day at Royal Athletic Park

Join the fun at RAP for some live music, lawn games, a bouncy castle and light refreshments.

Family Day at AGGV

Create family portraits, contribute to large-scale art projects, and explore the gallery for Family Day. 2-4pm.

Family Day at the Legislature

Spend the day exploring the Parliament Building and taking part in family friendly activities. 9am-4pm.

Family Fun Day Walk

Head into nature at this family walk around Elk/Beaver Lake. Meet at the Beaver Lake Picnic Shelter at Filter Beds parking lot. Please leave the pets at home for this walk. 1:30-3pm.

There is also a guided walk at Witty's Lagoon on Sunday afternoon.

Family Day in Langford

Storybook walks, dance classes, YMCA swimming, board and arcade games, storyline and magic, street hockey, and more. Events throughout the weekend at various locations
