We’re well into the spooky season and whether you’re looking to get scared or you’re simply looking to stock up on tiny versions of your favourite candy, there’s a seemingly endless list of things to do around Greater Victoria for Halloween. From haunted houses and witch gatherings to live performances of Frankenstein and not one, but two Rocky Horror Picture Show viewings, you’ll have your pick of things to do for the rest of October.
Festival of Fear at Galey Farms
As the sun goes down, the scare factor turns up at Galey’s—enjoy just Fearfest or add tickets to Carnevil, the PG-13 haunted house (don’t worry, there are three “chicken exits” if you can’t handle the fright). Daily from 6pm-9pm, ending Oct 29.
Haunted Horse-drawn Halloween Tours
Get a tour of Victoria’s haunted history with these horse-drawn carriage rides throughout October.
Enjoy a train ride through a haunted tunnel and the “Halloween forest” at Heritage Acres, Oct. 20-22.
Frankenstein Craigdarroch Castle
See Mary Shelley’s spooky story come to life in this one-man performance in the iconic historical home. Oct. 19-21 & Oct. 26-28.
Rocky Horror Picture Show Live
Catch the second all-drag, all-lip-sync show at the Bluebridge Theatre a year after its successful sold-out run. Oct 20. & 21.
Rocky Horror Picture Show at Vic Theatre
RHPS will begin screenings this week with more showings next weekend—expect loyal fans to dress up and join in the performance. Showings on Oct. 20, 27, 28, 31.

Got a great costume? Show it off at this contest with prizes for multiple age groups where you could win up to $1000 in Mayfair gift cards. Oct 28, 1-3pm.
Trunk or Treat at Colwood Church
Get some trick or treating in early with this decorated trunk fest giving out plenty of free candy and spooky vibes. Oct. 28, 4-6pm.
This dance show and costume party hosted by Passion Performance will have you entertained all night long. Oct. 28, 6pm.
Enjoy a unique halloween experience at the Ambrosio Event Centre with this all-ages dance party. Oct. 29, 8pm.
Halloween Market and Bug Zoo at night
Check out local vendors, enter the costume contest and see some creepy crawlies. Entrance to the market is free, but there’s an admission fee to the Bug Zoo. Oct. 29, 5:30-9pm.
Grab a pint and create some spooktacular art at Six Mile Pub. Oct. 30, 6pm.
Halloween Magic at Mayfair Mall
Enjoy a family-fun magic show, followed by a treat giveaway. Oct. 31, 3-4pm.
Tapestry Halloween Costume Contest
Join other seniors for some halloween fun at Tapestry. Be sure to RSVP ahead of time. Oct. 31, 3:30pm-5pm.
Test your wits with this mystery and show off your best costume at Board With Friends Cafe. Oct. 31, 6pm.
