A few weeks ago, we celebrated Victoria’s pending reopening with a massive list of every place we could find in the region selling food or drink: Bakeries, wineries, breweries and eateries of all kinds. Now, we’ve done it with retail stores Below, find the most comprehensive list we could build on where to find books, bikes, blouses and more.

Grocery 

Co-op‍
Co-op has been working to create a safe, clean, and well stocked environment for customers. They are following proper protocols set out by health officials and outlined by the government.

Costco
Has been open throughout the length of the pandemic with strict social distancing measures in place. This is also likely the only grocery store in the city where masking is a requirement for customers.

Country Grocer
All stores open 8am-9pm daily (Lake Cowichan 8pm only). Senior shopping and immune compromised shop 7am-8am everyday. 

Esquimalt Farmers Market
Open every Thursday from 4:30-7:30pm at Bullen Park behind the Esquimalt Rec Centre. Organizers warn it is not operating “as its usual fun, vibrant self,”as it has limited vendors and social distancing protocols. 

Peppers Foods
Open Daily 7am-6pm. Seniors and high-risk shopping between 7-8 Monday to Sunday. Home delivery Monday to Friday, excluding holidays. A minimum of $50 is required and delivery must be within a 5km radius.There will be a $5.00 Personal Shopping Fee for Online Pick-Up orders. Cut off for same day service is noon. Asking only one person per family in the store when possible. 

Red Barn Market
Location hours vary, check website for details. No bottle drops offs until further notice. Location have increased cleaning frequency and asking customers to social distance while in the store.  Open to seniors and those with compromised immune systems from 7am-8am daily at all locations.

Quality Foods
Open 7am-9am for seniors & other vulnerable members of society to do their shopping. Online ordering available. Location hours vary, check website forcomplete list.

Zero Waste Emporium
Zero Waste Emporium has launched an online shopping platform with three options: curbside pickup, in-store pickup, or home delivery. Free delivery forseniors and those who are immune compromised. 

Save On Foods

The Market
Online shopping available at Millstream location delivering to Langford and Sooke vicinities. Yates location Monday to Saturday 8am-10pm, Sundays10am-6pm. Millstream Monday to Saturday 8am-9pm, Sundays 10am-6pm.

Real Canadian Superstore
All Canadian locations have been open at close-to-regular hours throughout the length of the pandemic.

The Root Cellar
Back to regular hours. Open daily, 8am-8pm with 8am-9am reserved for seniors and those who are immune compromised. Coffee bar remains open 8am-3pm, bakery selection may be smaller than normal.

Fairway Market
Markets are open 7am-9pm daily with 7am-9am reserved for seniors and customers with compromised immune systems.

Pet supplies

Creatures Pet Store
Store is open. They are also offering delivery and curb-side pickup available,deliveries are 24 hours in Victoria and 48 hours outside of the city. 

Four Paw Pet Grocery & Boutique
‍Store is open and practicing social distancing as well as increased cleaning of high touch areas. They are taking orders over the phone and are offering curbside pick up as well as delivery.

West Coast Refill
Not refilling personal containers, but are offering their own containers for a deposit. You can place an order online, or by phone to be picked up curbside, in front of the shop or free delivery to your front door on orders of $35 or higher. Customers will not be allowed to enter the store.

The Body Shop

Shoppers Drug Mart
Stores remain open but with new hours, check their website each locations' hours. The first hours of shopping is reserved for seniors and those with compromised immune systems. Seniors discounts are also extended during that hour.

Cridge Family Pharmacy
Downtown hours Monday to Friday 8am-7pm, Saturday and Sunday 9am-5pm. Keating location Monday to Friday 9am-7pm, Saturday and Sunday 10am to 6pm. Freedelivery available for medications. Pharmacists are able to offer 30-day refills of medications without seeing a doctor.

Free Spirit Botanicals
Temporarily closed, online shopping available. Free home deliveries for seniors and private bookings available upon request.
