LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY OF BC OUTDOOR TOURS
Free tours of the Legislative Assembly grounds are currently being offered daily between Monday and Friday. Free tickets are available on a first-come, first served basis with a maximum of ten available per group. Tours will run at 11am and 2pm. For more information, click here.

MAKE-A-WISH CANADA BIRTHDAY VIRTUAL 5K & 10K
Join runners from around the country in July in supporting the Make-A-Wish foundation by running either a 5K or 10K distance to celebrate a social distanced birthday. Participants donate an amount of their choice to the foundation (minimum donation of $5) and log their run on the Runkeeper App. For more information, click here.

DONATION ADMISSION TO ROYAL BC MUSEUM

ONLINE ROYAL BC PHOTO EXHIBITION
The museum has just uploaded more than 16,000 historical images by BC Indigenous communities which were taken between the late 1800s and 1970. For more information, click here

TEENY TINY GARDEN TOUR
The Teeny Tiny Garden Tour Virtual Edition is open until July 31st and allows viewers to enjoy a virtual glimpse into some of Victoria’s best backyard gems, with a collection of local garden owners opening their gates to showcase their unique gardens! NAVIGATING TRICKY INTERSECTIONS IN VICTORIA WEBINAR
The Bike to Work Society will be hosting a webinar hosted by bike skills instructors who will give tips and advice on navigating greater Victoria’s trickiest intersections. The webinar begins at 11am. For more information, click here.

WASHING YOUR TEXTILES - ROYAL BC MUSEUM AT HOME
Royal BC Museum’s textile conservator Colleen Wilson will take participants on a demonstration in caring for textiles such as wedding dresses and old quilts. The demonstration begins at 12pm. For more information, click here.

VICTORIA HARBOURCATS VIRTUAL FIREWORKS
The Victoria HarbourCats will once again celebrate Canada Day but with a unique twist in 2020. A large projector will display fireworks from the past and will be complimented by a series of food trucks and a BBQ. People who don’t wish to attend in person can watch the fireworks online. WEDNESDAY, 1st JULY

VICTORIA’S CANADA DAY 2020
Victoria’s Canada Day celebrations will be streamed on the City of Victoria’s Facebook page and CHEK News from 7pm. Participants can join in virtually by submitting a short video detailing what it means to be Canadian, as well as sending in clips of them singing the national anthem for a chance to be featured on the broadcast. SIDNEY VIRTUAL CANADA DAY
A variety of live performances as well as a trip down memory lane to re-visit past Canada Day celebrations in Sydney will take place from 3pm online from the Mary Winspear Centre. For more information, click here.

CANADA DAY AT THE BARD
Celebrate Canada Day at The Bard on an expanded patio and watch live music from Gina Hosie and Vinyl Wave. A variety of specials will be available on the day. For more information, click here

CANADA DAY AT IRISH TIMES PUB
Celebrate Canada Day at the Irish Times Pub on an expanded patio and watch live music from Calvin & Charlie and a special Tragically Hip tribute by The Temps. A variety of specials will be available on the day. For more information, click here

CANADA DAY VIRTUAL RUN
Runners can choose from either a 5K, 10K or half-marathon distance and are encouraged to walk, run or even roll on a route of their choice. Distances will be logged on the Runkeeper app, with all participants receiving a free maple leaf face covering. For more information, click here.

JBAA CANADA DAY CELEBRATION
The James Bay Athletic Association are celebrating Canada Day at their clubhouse with a variety of activities including frisbee rugby and an obstacle course. The event will run between 12-5pm. For more information, click here.

HISTORY OF THE MEMORIAL DRAG BALL GAME DOCUMENTARY
The premiere of a documentary on the history of Victoria’s annual Memorial Drag Ball Game will take place this Canada Day at 12pm.
